Plan to ensure cost of living support reaches all corners of Chorley
Cllr Bradley suggested that groups providing help plan it across neighbouring villages in order spread their support across “a wider footprint” by delivering it on different days to avoid duplication.
The meeting heard that mapping was being undertaken in order to build up a picture of the assistance on offer in the district. Cllr Bradley said that groups providing such services - but which were not known to the council - should get in touch. Chorley Council’s cost of living action plan will draw on the work done under the “Chorley Together” umbrella during the height of the pandemic.Cabinet member for early intervention Bev Murray said that she was keen to ensure that no “barriers” were created that could risk residents being reluctant to seek the support on offer.
