Cleaning chemical spill makes plane divert to Dublin
The airline said the service from Heathrow to Philadelphia landed in the Irish capital because of an"odour".
It added that"medical personnel met the aircraft to evaluate any crew members or passengers who may need additional assistance". On Twitter, Airport Webcams said two crew members were"temporarily unconscious" and several passengers had"burning eyes, itchy skin". It also posted air traffic control audio, in which one of the pilots said the fluid was a"cleaning product used at London Heathrow".He added that the container had been"left behind in one of the lavatories" and the liquid had seeped"into the carpeting".
The pilot said he had been told it was"not a toxic substance", and was called"aircraft interior cleaner".
