Outline planning permission has been granted for the construction of over 100 homes on the site of the former Shaw Distribution Centre in Oldham. The development will include a mix of detached, semi-detached, and mews style properties, with 26 of them being classified as affordable housing.

The development will now be split across three and four-bedroom properties, with a mix of detached, semi-detached and mews style properties. All of the dwellings would be two-storeys high.
The development will also include the de-culverting of the River Beal and surface water drainage infrastructure being put in place. This would allow new open space areas to be created either side of the river.
