Councillors raise concerns about the effect on the landscape of another renewable energy project.
Plans to build a battery energy storage facility covering 3.6 hectares of land near Holsworthy have been turned down.
The district council’s plans committee was concerned by the cumulative effect on the landscape of what would be the 17th renewable energy project within a five-mile radius. Councillor Kit Hepple described the site as “huge’” and said the development posed a danger if fire broke out.
