Plans have been revealed for a major coffee chain to relocate in the St Enoch Centre ☕️

PLANS have been revealed for a new Starbucks store in the St Enoch Centre, with the chain set to relocate., which requests permission for the coffee shop to take over an empty unit.Figures reveal dozens of homeless people have died in Glasgow hotels

If the application is approved, Starbucks would move from its current location, allowing the firm to expand its offering within the centre. The plans state: “The occupation of this unit by Starbucks Coffee will positively contribute to this part of the St Enoch Centre.“The relocation and expansion to Unit 18 will generate jobs and increase the footfall in the St Enoch Centre, all to the benefit of the wider city centre’s vitality and viability.”

St Enoch Centre bosses believe the move “would secure a long-term tenant that contributes positively to the vibrancy of the shopping centre at all times of day”. The application adds in the face of “internet retailing and wider trends, national multiple retailers have for some time been ‘right sizing’ their portfolios, whilst the shopping experience is ever more important for non-internet retail".
