Plans have been proposed for improvements to Mcdonald's at Chilwell Retail Park
A Nottinghamshire McDonald’s branch is set to undergo a number of improvements with new plans put forward. , in Chilwell.
If approved by Broxtowe Borough Council the drive-thru restaurant will undergo a number of changes. The plans include a whole refurbishment of the outside, which involves a new seating area outside to replace the existing with new terrace furniture, planters, and bins. The fast-food restaurant, located on Nottingham Road, will also see repairs and a ‘re-spray’ of the exterior of the building, including the roof, take place. As well as this a new access door will be installed and improvements will be made to the existing entrance doors.The retail park is home to Costa Coffee, TK Maxx, Matalan, Sports Direct, Poundland, Pets at Home, and Halfords. The latest business to join Chilwell Retail Park is The Gym Group which opened its doors to gymgoers in July 2022.
The plans also include a whole resurface to all McDonald’s car parking spaces and new lamp posts and fencing will be installed on the site. The plans also include a side extension to the store to create a new fast-forward drive-through lane. Both drive-through windows will be replaced with new ones. Inside the fast food restaurant will see a new service counter area and an extension to the kitchen, in addition to a new partition which will see a new Happy Meal display unit.
