A school that closed over 50 years ago is being honored for the historical mark it left on Dale County's history.
There is a lot of history that stands on Thad Dansby Baseball Field, and a piece of its story was shared on Thursday.
Thursday, two former students who were enrolled in that program said they hope the plaque reminds current students how important it is to know their history.“If you talk about people that are below us, they don’t even know it’s a school here,” former student Benjamin Key said.
