Nottinghamshire Police says a report was made of two women being racially abused in Worksop
Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after a report was made of two black women being racially abused in Worksop town centre. Nottinghamshire Police says it received a report of racial abuse being directed at two women between 5.30pm and 6pm on Saturday .
Police say a man reportedly approached the women, asking them where they were from and then racially abusing them. The women reportedly challenged the man as he walked off down Central Avenue. Nottinghamshire Police now says it wants to identify the man in the image as part of their investigation. PC George Long, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Nottinghamshire Police takes any report of hate very seriously and we are committed to working with our partners to stamp it out."Hate crime has a devastating impact on individual victims and targeted communities, and our firm commitment is to tackle bias, racism, and discrimination wherever we find it.
