Some visitors were left disappointed after the resort re-opened this weekend
A much loved ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach has been closed as its owner confirmed a new attraction is coming soon.
However, as LancsLive reports, the Grand Prix ride is no more. Amanda Thompson, owner of the Pleasure Beach resort, has promised it will make way for a new ride.READ MORE:River Island's £35 bag could be easily mistaken for £1,200 Loewe Jardinier designer version "The ride has operated on the park since 1960 and was originally called the Turnpike. The cars were petrol powered till the end of the 2002 season before being modified to electric powered ones we see today."
