Valhalla, Red Arrows, Boulevard Hotel and Loki's Restaurant all won awards
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has endured an eventful 2023 season. From finally re-opening famous water ride Valhalla in May following a series of set backs, to celebrating The Big Dipper's 100th birthday, the seaside theme park has had a rollercoaster summer.
And now as we approach the final few weeks of the season, the park is ending on a high has it has been recognised in four categories at the Theme Park UK Awards. The awards, run by the independent UK theme park guide company, are decided by a public vote and judging panel. Each of the 22 categories is split into gold, silver and bronze, with the Pleasure Beach scooping four golds, one silver and three bronze. They included two for epic Viking-themed water adventure ride Valhalla, Best Theme Park Hotel for The Boulevard and Best Seaside Park in the north .Staffordshire's Alton Towers topped the tree with 11 gongs and Drayton Manor also won eight. The results were compiled from a massive 229,427 public votes and then combined with the scores from the judges.
