Plumbing expert David Doran of Blackstone Plumbing and Heating spoke with Yell, listing some seemingly harmless items that should never be discarded via the toilet - including a product many of us use daily when cleaning our teeth.Dental floss is often disposed of down the toilet, as this can be a quick way to get rid of it, the Express reports.
As well as this, thoughtlessly flushing some stray hair down the toilet can also cause significant long-term issues and another potential financial burden. It can also lead to pipe corrosion and breakage over time, and in severe cases, can cause your pipes to burst.
