But in formal objections submitted to the subcommittee, both Lancashire Constabulary licensing officer PC Ste Connolly and city council senior environmental health officer Marie McCracken have warned of the unfair impact on those living nearby. He wrote: “Emmanuel Street is a small residential street in the heart of Plungington with many of the streets containing terraced style housing, having a licensed event take place until 0400hrs will have a detrimental impact on that community, more so having been made aware that the premises are promoting that it is a free un-ticketed event with a new “BOOMING” sound system.”
Similarly, Ms McCracken argued “the proposed closing time of 4am would have a detrimental impact on the residents and likely to cause a Statutory Nuisance.”
