Clouds helped keep our temperatures lower today than on recent days. Humidity was high enough for it not to be too comfortable either way. We’ve got enough warmth and humidity mingling to create scattered showers and storms in the region. A broken line probably passes the area through about sunset or a bit later.
Scattered showers and storms push through the area starting in the late afternoon in the far west and during the evening elsewhere. Some storms could be briefly intense, with primarily an isolated damaging winds risk in addition to frequent dangerous lightning and pockets of heavy rain. Clearing and muggy overnight. Some patchy fog is possible, especially where it rains. Lows are about 70 to 75.High heat is back.
