The Prime Minister appeared delighted to meet the former US President as Barack Obama and wife Michelle touched down ahead of two very special Aussie appearances.
The “Evening with President Obama” tour will kick off in Sydney on Tuesday night, before a second event in Melbourne the following evening.
The event, hosted by former deputy leader and foreign minister Julie Bishop, will take attendees on a journey of “resilience, perseverance and triumph” as the 44th President of the US shares his journey in the oval office. The couple were pictured in comfortable attire as they disembarked a private jet on Sunday evening after at least 13 hours on board.
Michelle was spotted in light blue jeans, white t-shirt and cardigan, while Barack donned a beige blazer and tan trousers.
