Chelsea have beaten Liverpool to the signings of both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia
Mauricio Pochettino believes Moises Caciedo and Romeo Lavia chose Chelsea over Liverpool due to feeling '"something special" about the club.
Liverpool were in the running for both players, having agreed a £110m fee with Brighton for Caicedo and seen three offers rejected for Lavia, though have ultimately missed out on both individuals. There has been plenty of discussion in recent days regarding why Caicedo and Lavia were learning towards Chelsea as opposed to Liverpool, with the lure of London, financial terms and club history all mentioned as potential reasons.
"It wasn't a competition, it was the players' decision to join us and that makes us very happy. They talked very highly about our owners and sporting director and the way they work to earn the target.
