Pointless contestants have revealed what it's like to appear on the show, including the surprising rule that they're not allowed to wear certain clothes.
Starting with four teams of two, the pairs answer general knowledge questions until only one team remains. To win the prize money, the remaining team must find a pointless answer. Bethan Thomas, who appeared on the show in 2016, told The Sun that she was surprised by the rules on what she could and couldn't wear. "I wear quite a lot of black or sequins and they were like, 'No you can't wear that, can't wear spots'," Bethan explained.
She also revealed that contestants are given "TV make-up", which meant that she was "very heavily contoured".
