Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have apologized to residents in Salford for deploying a helicopter early this morning following a reported burglary at a Tesco Express store. Officers responded to the scene in Irlam at 4:15am and arrested two men, aged 41 and 24, who remain in custody. The shop was closed at the time of the incident. Residents reported hearing the helicopter circling in the early hours.

Responding to the post, one person said that they could hear the helicopter from Swinton.
