Anyone with information is asked to come forward

Police have launched an investigation after a dog walker was assaulted in a village in Nottinghamshire. A 48-year-old man was walking his dog in Brinsley Headstocks and Nature Reserve on February 14.

At around 4.35pm the victim's pet was approached by another dog that was off its lead. An argument then took place between the man and the owner of the other dog which resulted in an assault. The victim was punched and pushed to the ground, it is reported that no injuries were suffered during the incident. The attacker left the scene with his dog in tow on Mansfield Road in Brinsley.PC Aron Oszko, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Anyone who recognises the man in this picture is asked to get in contact with us straight away. We believe he has information that could assist us with our inquiries, so we’d like to speak to him immediately.

“Nottinghamshire Police is opposed to any forms of violence and don’t want to see incidents of this nature happening in our communities.” Anyone with any information is asked to either call the police on 101, quoting incident 482 of 14 February 2023, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
