Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was stabbed in a Melbourne carpark last week. A man and a woman were driving out of a carpark on McIntyre Rd, Sunshine North when they noticed a white sedan was closely following them. Police say a verbal argument took place before the male driver of the white car got out and produced what was believed to be a machete.
He stabbed the other driver in the foot, leg and head before returning to his car and driving off south on McIntyre Rd toward Ballarat Rd. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The offender has been described as African in appearance, approximately 185cm tall and about 40 years old. He has short hair and was unshaven. The car he was driving is believed to be a newer model Toyota Camry.
