Posting on social media Shropshire Police said:"We are appealing for information following arson in Shrewsbury on Sunday November 17. Around 4.15pm a fire was started on the canal towpath behind Comet Drive, Ditherington, which caused significant damage to the rear fences of two properties. "Officers are asking for anyone to come forward who may have witnessed the fire being started or anybody who has information that would help with the investigation."Alternatively, if you have information but don’t feel comfortable speaking to police, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
