It's been nearly a decade since Launceston man Christopher Watkins disappeared but his mother says she hasn't given up hope of finding out what happened to him.
At the time police alleged that those charged "conspired with others to provide false and misleading information aimed directly at detailing the police investigation"."As we receive new information we are gathering a clearer picture, there are still some holes in our investigation, which we're continuing to look at," Detective Inspector John King said at the time. But eight years on from that and police are still trying to solve the case.
Ms Watkins thought the increased reward announced in 2021 might have provided an incentive for someone to come forward. "I actually thought there might have been more information come forward but it just didn't go anywhere, just stayed dormant."Lillian Watkins says her son is missed by his family.Ms Watkins is confident police know who is responsible for her son's disappearance but lack the proof."He was funny, loving, caring, his family miss him," she said.
