Police bust £100,000 cannabis farm covering three floors in Morecambe

Officer from the Road Crime Team raided the property on Albert Road in the early hours of yesterday . They found 250 cannabis worth around £100,000 located over three floors.

Evidence was also found that the electricity had been bypassed, and Electricity North West attended to make the area safe. A 41-year-old man from Morecambe was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.He has since been remanded into custody. The raids comes as part of Operation Warrior which is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire.

A force spokesperson said: "It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
