Not something you see every day!
West Yorkshire Police were called to Wellington Place, Leeds city centre, on the morning of Wednesday, March 23, after the bird was clipped by a vehicle. An officer found the bird sitting in the middle of a cycle lane.
"The bird has sustained an injury to the lower beak, but we expect a full recovery." The charity shared a picture of the scene, and a number of people said it looked like a WYP officer was "having its particulars taken". Sam Brown said: "Another one with L plates on. Bless." Rita Harding said: "I thought he was giving it a parking ticket! Well done for helping."
