A man has been arrested after a police chase in Co Down which led to the recovery of suspected drugs.

Police say when officers tapped the window, he drove off. and a number of items including cannabis worth an estimated £40,000 were found.A PSNI spokesperson said the man remained in custody on Monday morning. In a Facebook post, a spokesperson for Police Newry Mourne and Down said: "Yesterday morning at 11am, officers from Downpatrick received a report of a male slumped over the wheel of a car in a garage forecourt in Ballynahinch.
