Gemma's left terribly anxious when the police arrive to speak with Chesney - but what has he done?
It was all going so well Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter ’s life changed a great deal at the end of last year in Coronation Street when Les Battersby died. Bruce Jones’ Corrie character died suddenly at work. In the aftermath, a comment from Bernie sparked an investigation into the place Les worked. Toyah , Leanne and Chesney discovered the abattoir Les was working at when he died was willing to pay the trio a share of £50k – provided they signed an NDA.
With a little bit of money left over, Chesney reveals to Gemma that they can book a week in Alicante. That evening, Dev and Bernie announce their engagement in the pub. Ches, Gemma, Summer , Aadi and Asha are completely delighted for them. Unfortunately, Gemma and Chesney’s positivity is destroyed when they return home and a police officer knocks on the door shortly after. In the week, Chesney heads off to the police station to be interviewed, leaving Gemma anxious.
