Police have taped off a road in Tameside tonight following a likely collision involving an elderly woman.
Emergency services were scrambled to Egmont Road, in Mossley, at around 5pm to reports of the crash. It is understood that the woman has been taken to hospital. The road remains closed, with residents telling the Manchester Evening News it is likely to remain this way for 'most of the night'. The exact nature of the incident and any injuries is not yet known.
