Emergency services were called to reports the teenager had 'fallen' into the water
Police, paramedics and specialist water units descended on a park in Bury on Sunday evening as a teenage boy was pulled from water.
The Manchester Evening News understands the incident occurred after the teenager had been 'playing on the railings with friends'.He sustained injuries in the incident, thought to be a broken leg, as police blocked off entrances to the park. It is understood he fell into the feeder canal to Elton Reservoir that runs alongside the park.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 6pm this evening the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, Greater Manchester Police and the North West Ambulance Service responded to reports that a male had fallen into the water at Burrs Country Park in Bury.
