Hundreds of pounds of suspected stolen clothing was uncovered in a property in South Belfast

Police uncovered hundreds of pounds of suspected stolen clothing in South Belfast following reports of thefts in the City Centre.Several suspects were then arrested following a search of a property in South Belfast where hundreds of pounds of suspected stolen clothing was uncovered.Police have said that they will be patrolling the City Centre on foot every day during the Christmas period targeting a range of different issues.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Central Neighbourhood Policing Team 3 today responded to reports of large amounts of clothing being stolen from New Look in Belfast City Centre. Several suspects were arrested and following a search of a house in the south Belfast area, hundreds of pounds of suspected stolen clothing were recovered.
