This just in: Cops lockdown Glasgow’s Aitkenhead Road.
Cars are being rerouted through Govanhill due to the police incident tonight on itkenhead Road at Calder Street near Polmadie fire station. section of the road is completely closed off to traffic.
The route is used to access the M74 as well as the Toryglen, King's Park, Govanhill and Croftfoot areas of the city. Meanwhile at the other side of itkenhead Road where it meets Prospectill Road and Curtis venue, cops also stand guard not allowing traffic through.
