Police are seeking the public's help in locating a dangerous fugitive, Ben David Elliott, 34, from Wythenshawe, in connection with a firearm incident and an ongoing investigation into drugs and guns supply. Elliott is wanted in relation to a shooting that occurred on September 15, 2021, at approximately 9.15 pm on Old Moat Lane in Withington. During the incident, four rounds were fired at an individual in a parked car.
Another man, Talleko Lemonius, 29, of Shady Lane, Wythenshawe, was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in 2023 for possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition without a certificate, and aggravated vehicle taking related to this incident. Police believe Elliott fled the country following the shooting and remains abroad. He is also suspected of involvement in an extensive operation involving the importation and supply of cocaine and heroin, cannabis cultivation, and the sale of firearms. He is believed to be the user of the EncroChat handle 'PLAINSAILING', which has been linked to these activities. Detectives are urging anyone with information about Elliott's whereabouts, either past or present, to come forward immediately. Detective Constable Ryan O'Hanlon, leading the investigation, stated, 'We are appealing for the public's help to locate Ben Elliott and bring him back to face our questions. The offences he is wanted for are some of the most serious, and we believe he is a dangerous individual who could pose a significant risk to the public.'He continued, 'Anyone with information about Elliott's whereabouts, whether that be past or present, that could assist our search to locate him, is advised to get in touch with us immediately on 101.
