Police issue CCTV appeal after sexual assault in park

Specially trained officers are supporting the victim

Police have released images of a man they'd like to speak to in connection with a serious sexual assault. The incident happened in Victoria Park, in Bath Street, on the border of St Ann's and Sneinton , at around 3am on Saturday, December 21.

Police subsequently cordoned off the park while officers investigated the attack. Specially-trained officers are supporting the victim as detectives continue to pursue a number of lines of inquiry. Police have now released three images of a man they believe could have important information about what happened. Detective Sergeant Barry Haines, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I’d like to thank members of the public who have already assisted our investigation into this serious incident.“Our inquiries are continuing and we now want to identify the man pictured. We believe people who know this man will recognise him from these images. I’d also urge him to contact us directly.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 119 of December 21 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
