Police said there have been no updates in the desperate search
The desperate search was first launched on Sunday afternoon after a man and woman fell into the water at the Oldham beauty spot. The Manchester Evening News understands they had been paddleboarding on the reservoir.
Emergency services, including water search teams, police officers and fire crews, descended on the scene and the woman was rescued. She was treated for hypothermia and shock.However the man, who has now been named as Simon Daniels, reportedly got into difficulty in the water. Search have been ongoing to find the personal trainer from Cheshire in the days since.
Today marks the fourth day of the search. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said there have been no updates in the past 24 hours. In a new statement, they said: "Specialist officers are continuing with the search at Dovestone Reservoir. Access to the car park is still restricted. "We are in regular contact with the family during this difficult time for them. Any updates will be shared with the family first."Read more of today's top stories here
