Police chiefs investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a much-loved teenager have renewed an appeal for the public's help
Police have previously said two 16-year-old boys, both from Crewe, have been 'eliminated' from the ongoing investigation.Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have been in the Mill Island and Riverside area of Nantwich between 12.30am and 6am on August 31, and who may have information which could assist the investigation.
Detective Inspector Nigel Parr, of the Constabulary's Major Investigation Team, said: "Our enquiries into how Jonty entered the River Weaver remain ongoing, and, as part of our investigation, we are looking to hear from anyone who may have been in the Mill Island area of Nantwich between 12.30am and 6am on Saturday 31 August.
