Merseyside Police launched a murder investigation after a man in 20s died
Police have issued an update after a man was found dead inside a house. Merseyside Police were called to Fender Way in Beechwood just before 4pm on Thursday, August 1. It followed a report of a concern for safety of a man in his 20s inside a house. Two men aged 43 and 27 years from Beechwood were previously arrested on suspicion of murder. In an update today, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed both men have been bailed pending further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination will take place to establish his cause of death. When the ECHO was at the scene on Thursday night, a yellow Citroen DS3 was parked up, which police officers were also examining. The car was later taken away from the scene in a low-loader. Neighbours reported seeing a dog being taken out of the house by a man. Detective Chief Inspector Peter Stephenson previously said: “Our sincere condolences continue to remain with the family of the man who has died.
