Police have issued an update on an incident which closed a Glasgow road.

We previously reported that theThe force has now revealed that a pedestrian was knocked down by a car.A 37-year-old man was crossing the road when he was hit by a grey Volkswagen Tiguan.

He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious condition and emergency crews closed the road until around 5.20am.Constable Simon Parker said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of this crash and I would appeal to any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist us, to make contact.

“I am also keen to obtain any dash-cam from motorists driving on the road around the time of the crash.
