Danny Leech died after being struck by an HGV on Arbroath Road in Dundee, on Friday, September 8, 1989. He was just seven-years-old.

Police have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses into a horror crash that killed a Scots schoolboy almost 36 years ago.

Road cops have confirmed today that they are evaluating the new information from the Leech family. Inspector Roy McCarney said: “We are carrying out a comprehensive review of the information provided to us by the Leech family in relation to circumstances in 1989.
