A pensioner has died after he was found injured prompting a police investigation.
The 89-year-old was discovered in the Stonelaw Road area of Rutherglen this morning at around 6.40am.The residential area, which includes retirement housing, remains taped off while police investigate how the man died with officers guarding the scene.spokesperson said: “We were called around 6.40am on Wednesday, May 1, to a report of a man found injured in the Stonelaw Road area of Rutherglen.“The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious.
