Three men dressed in black claimed they were from the Border Agency

A man has been arrested in connection with a murder investigation launched following the death of a man in Wellingborough. Martin Truett was killed after answering his front door to three in black who claimed they were from the Border Agency.

The 63-year-old was attacked in his home in Highfield Road on Friday, November 25, between 8.45pm and 10pm. He was taken to hospital but died 17 days later. Northamptonshire Police launched a murder probe following his death. On Thursday the force said a 49-year-old man from Northampton was arrested on Wednesday. He has since been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.Police said: "Officers investigating the incident would still like to speak to anyone with information about what happened last December. Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
