Police make attempted murder arrest after man shot in leg in Skelmersdale street
This week police appealed for the public's help in finding a man wanted in connection with the incident which happened in Birch Green Road at around 6.11pm on Wednesday November 9. Detectives from Lancashire Constabulary have now confirmed that 19-year-old Warren Williams is in custody having been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The arrest follows the incident earlier this month which left a man in his 30s with a gunshot wound to his leg. He remains in hospital.A 21-year-old man from Skelmersdale was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has since been released on bail. A force spokesman said: "We are really grateful to everyone who has provided information so far and we would continue to appeal to anyone who has information, saw anything suspicious or who has CCTV or other footage, to get in touch."
