Tributes have poured in for Alana Muir who has been described as 'one in a million'.

Alana Muir was pronounced dead at the scene of the smash on the A71 between Newmilns and Darvel .

The driver of the Mercedes, a 52-year-old man, was taken to Crosshouse University Hospital in Kilmarnock with non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone who can assist is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1148 of Thursday, 17 October, 2024.The Railway Inn Darvel posted: "Alana deserves the BEST send off possible, so as of today - we will have a donations box on the bar to help towards funeral costs. Let’s raise as much as we can, help her family as much as possible and give Alana the beautiful service she deserves.""This girl was the life and soul of any party.

Darvel Bowling Club, where Alan worked, also said on Friday: "Our committee and members are devastated at the loss of our barmaid and friend Alana Muir.
