He sadly died after colliding with a trailer parked in the road
Police have named the 23-year-old man who died after a collision in Kettering on Tuesday. Kelsey Walsh, of Kettering, died after colliding with a trailer parked in the road in Telford Way industrial estate.
The incident took place on Linnell Way just after 6am on January 24. Mr Walsh was driving a white Renault Kangoo Maxi eastbound when he collided with the front of a stationary trailer, Northamptonshire Police said. Alongside police naming him this afternoon , Mr Walsh's family has also released a picture of him. Officers are still appealing for information and witnesses.Motorists were asked to avoid the area while emergency services attended the scene on Tuesday morning. The traffic build-up also affected nearby Kettering General Hospital.
Mr Walsh "died shortly afterwards", according to police. In a statement this afternoon, a spokesperson said: "Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team would still like to hear from anyone who has not yet contacted them who may have witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the collision.
