Liam Trimmer, 29, was critically injured after cutting his neck during a fall at his Fremantle home on Sunday evening. The tragedy unfolded as Trimmer, an off-duty senior constable, and his partner Lilly Watts celebrated their impending nuptials and shortly after they told friends and family that Watts was three months pregnant.

“Liam was truly so excited to be a dad.
