The selection process for a parliamentary candidate in Croydon East was paused by the party in November.
The Labour Party is is being investigated by detectives over the way it chose a general election candidate for a new south London seat amid claims of 'computer misuse'.
It comes after one of the original candidates Joel Bodmer, an organiser with the trade union Unison, earlier this month said he would no longer run because of the abuse he had faced in the original contest. According to the Labour List website, the party's internal probe found some details of members in Croydon East were 'altered on the Labour Party membership database without authorisation', meaning some may not have received information about the selection process or specific candidates.
