Glasgow Road Police did a road check on the 21-year-old driver's van, when he failed to stop, officers pursued him from Mosspark to Paisley before he was arrested in connection with a number offences.

A driver has been arrested and charged after he failed to stop for Glasgow police who pursued him from the city's south side to Paisley .

Glasgow Road Police did a road check on the 21-year-old driver's van in Mosspark on May 4. When the vehicle failed to stop, he was pursued into Paisley where he was stopped. Officers confirmed he has now been arrested for a number of "road traffic, bail, and weapons offences" as well as having no licence or insurance. He is now being held in custody over the bank holiday weekend and is due to appear in court next week. Sharing the incident on X, Road Policing Scotland said: "#GlasgowRP did a road check in Mosspark earlier today when this vehicle failed to stop. We pursued it from Mosspark into Paisley where we safely stopped it without injury or damage. The driver now has a #RoomWithNoView for the weekend!"
