The operation resulted in the recovery of suspected counterfeit merchandise and accessories mimicking a number of luxury brands.

Counterfeit merchandise worth an estimated £1 million has been recovered by police from storage facilities in East Kilbride.

The haul, including fake Ugg and North Face items, has been estimated to be worth in excess of £1m and a 61-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the recovery.The operation also involved local authority trading standards services from Glasgow City Council, South Lanarkshire Council, and the Anti-Counterfeiting Group.
