CCTV footage has been released by the police of a man who allegedly raped a woman in a car in central London .
The alleged attack was reported to police and an investigation was launched by detectives in Westminster. The force said a woman was picked up by an unknown man in a car between 9pm and 11.30pm on December 19 2023. She was then driven around central London before the car stopped in Long Acre. It was here that the woman was reported to have been raped
Detective Constable Adam Ramsden, based in Westminster, said: 'We have been working around the clock to gather as much evidence as we can about the suspect and inquiries are ongoing.
