Young people aged 13 to 15 can apply to volunteer with one of three Police Scotland Youth Volunteers in Ayrshire.

Police Scotland are looking for teenagers to join their youth volunteers in Cumnock , South Ayr shire and East Ayr shire.

Young people will be given the opportunity to develop skills and confidence as PSYV aims to promote a practical understanding of policing, encourage the spirit of adventure and good citizenship and inspire young people to participate positively in their communities.PSYV sessions take place weekly throughout Ayrshire where volunteers take part in training, educational inputs from the police and partner agencies as well as preparing for upcoming volunteering opportunities.

PSYV Cumnock also holds weekly sessions on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Dumfries House. "Youth volunteers aged 13 to 15 can apply to join a team of young people who aim to learn about Police Scotland whilst volunteering in their communities.
