Police Scotland will be opening its doors to the public for the first time tomorrow in a behind-the-scenes recruitment showcase event in East Kilbride .

The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.You can also take part in a mock fitness assessment - including the famous bleep test. And keep an eye on the sky for a force helicopter landing at the college helipad.

Chief Inspector of recruitment, Alan Mulholland, said: "We're trying to think of different ways to showcase what we do as an organisation and make it more accessible to people. "The showcase event shows people what they can get access to when they're doing a local policing job, and that's the key part of this. Say you have a high risk missing person, you can call the helicopter in and the helicopter will support you whilst you're on the ground looking for that missing person.
