Police have cordoned off a property on Braemar Avenue in Southport, Merseyside. Forensic officers have been seen entering and exiting the property since Sunday, December 22. A property in a 'quiet residential area ' has been sealed off by police in Southport . The cordon, which extends onto a pedestrianised pathway, is currently in place outside a property on Braemar Avenue this evening, Monday December 23. Residents in the area have reported seeing a number of forensic officers going 'in and out' the property. One neighbour told the ECHO the incident has been ongoing since yesterday . He said: 'Since yesterday, last night, there were loads of .

' Neighbours also said police had been conducting house to house enquiries in the surrounding areas, including both Braemar Avenue and Links Avenue. The nature of the incident is currently not known.
