A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon after police were called to a 'disturbance' in Moston last night.
Officers responded to the incident on Pitmore Walk, off Enstone Drive, at around 10.30pm on Saturday . The street was sealed off by police with a cordon put in place around a row of houses. Paramedics were also called to the scene. Police said a man - aged in his 30s - was taken to hospital for treatment from the scene.A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of a weapon. He remains in police custody for questioning.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 10:30pm last night Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a disturbance at Pitmore Walk, Moston. Officers and colleagues from NWAS attended the scene and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital for further treatment.
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of a weapon. He remains in police custody."
